A GAME-BOY. Youre like a tomboy without the love of sports. Reality sucks, but as long as you have your electronics you feel you can cope. Time goes unnoticed when youre locked in your room hooked up to your Nintendo, rocking to your favourite collection of guitar-driven albums.
Your virtues: Intelligence, sense-of-humour, individuality.
Your flaws: Inability to cope with real life, action-freak spirit, reclusive nature.
Your Personality type is the only type that would like this cool online gothic Game:

You have an entrancing kiss~ the kind that leaves your partner bedazzled and maybe even feeling he/she is dreaming. Quite effective; the kiss that never lessens and always blows your partner away like the first time.

I like this better than the quiz that told me I like plain, boring old sex. That was not good.

"Aurora" - Carbon Leaf |
] |
When we moved into our apartment, the manager told us that a pianist lived in the apartment above us and we'd heard piano music occasionally. He also said the man was fairly old and lived in the apartment while playing gigs in the "city" and he had a house somewhere with his wife.
Now, either his wife comes into the "city" and has wild and crazy, furniture-moving sex with him, or something else involving lots of moving and loud noises is going on. I always forgive the guy when I hear wonderful Beethoven coming down through the ceiling in the middle of the day, but christ, wtf is he doing up there?
Making some loud ass noise, that's what.

"Just Friends" - Gavin DeGraw |
] |
My day so far:
Wake up to apartment gardener making crazy noises outside my window. There goes my plan of a wake-up bowl in bed. Wander out into hallway, roommate's door is closed, guess that 8:30 class didn't happen. Go to living room. Sofa where my friend Will slept is tidy. Blanket folded. Awww. Roommate comes out, and says, "I'm never going to-" "go to french," I interrupt. "YES!" She gets in the shower. Her "boyfriend" (?) comes out and he and I bond over Jesus then play a round of Mario Kart. They leave. I start a new load of laundry. Find roommate's matching ring she thought she lost. Then I was planning on a shower, and yet, still not there yet.
Gavin DeGraw tonight. Saw him last fall opening for Maroon 5 at the Showbox. He's headlining tonight at a club in Capitol Hill. He has an amazing voice and stage presence. Very uplifting music, I'm getting more excited by the minute. Going to burn a few copies of the CD now, then get in the shower.
I've had other options, too. But all I want is you.

"the young machines" - Her Space Holiday |
] |
After nearly two and a half weeks of accomplishing nothing but having fun, I'm switching gears today. I will have all of my laundry done, a clean floor, and a much cleaner room by the end of today. And perhaps Scarlett might receive a little vacuuming later. She needs it.
Accomplished Already:
- Moved all dirty laundry to the vicinity of the washing machine.
- Started a load of laundry.
- Stripped and Febrezed my bed and pillows. And my stuffed dog, 'cause he was there.
- Adjusted the positions of the four apartment fans to maximize the removal of hot air. And then locked all the doors and windows because I can't hear anything over the roar, and yes, I'm a tad paranoid.
- Cleaned the piece for Jesus and my pipe. Two coffee filters are now drying on plastic plates underneath my TV. Mmmmmm, resin.
- Ruined a pair of metal tongs and a scrub brush from cleaning. Must now research cleaning pipes and figure out how to not ruin things.
- Cleaned up the living room from last night, realized I'm rather in love with my life despite every thing that's wrong with it.
- Probably something else.
Talked to my mom about my crush today, as part of my switching gears routine. She goes "ohhhhhhhhhhh?" in response to learning that he spent the night. I say, "______ slept on the couch, mom. We fell asleep watching TV, so I just threw a blanket on him and went to bed."
Her response: "hey i didn't ask *insert one of those huge grin smiley faces*"
Right. Time for another load of laundry and a goddamn shower.

You Don't Have a Boyfriend Because You are Too Shy
When a guy gets to know you, he finds a great catch
Problem is... you're too shy for most guys to get to know.
From meeting someone to dating, you usually have your guard up.
And while you're just holding back, it makes you seem like you've got something to hide.
Neat. Going back to bed. |
